I. Introduction to Anlag Ta Buksu Technology Business Incubator (TBI)
Anlag Ta Buksu Technology Business Incubator (TBI) is a premier initiative of Bukidnon State University (BUKSU), designed to foster technology-driven entrepreneurship and innovation in the region. In line with the university’s commitment to sustainable development and its strategic role as a leader in research, innovation, and technology commercialization, the TBI aims to nurture startups from concept to market-ready businesses.
The TBI operates as a physical and virtual space that provides essential resources, mentorship, and networking opportunities to entrepreneurs, students, and faculty. By leveraging the unique strengths of the region, including its strong focus on Horticulture, Eco-tourism, Agriculture, Research, and Technology (HEART), Anlag Ta Buksu TBI seeks to create a vibrant ecosystem where technology meets real-world challenges.

To contribute to local, regional and national economic development by advancing the entrepreneurial culture in the university, nurturing the growth of new technology- based startups, and accelerating the development of young entrepreneurial units from 'idea stage' to independent self-sustaining successful business in the region.
Objectives of Anlag Ta Buksu TBI
The overarching goal of Anlag Ta Buksu TBI is to create a thriving entrepreneurial culture within Bukidnon State University and the surrounding community. Specifically, the TBI seeks to:
- Promote Innovation and Entrepreneurship by fostering a culture of innovation by providing a platform for faculty, students, researchers, and alumni to engage in entrepreneurial activities.
- Incubate Technology-based Startups by supporting startups in various fields, particularly those aligned with the HEART sectors, such as agriculture and eco tourism, through access to resources, technical expertise, and mentorship.
- Facilitate Technology Commercialization by aiding in the transfer of university developed technologies to the market, bridging the gap between research and commercial application.
- Enhance Job Creation and Economic Growth by contributing to the local, regional, and national economy by creating jobs, developing new business models, and fostering innovation in key industries.
- Build a Strong Support Network by establishing a robust network of partners, including government agencies, investors, industry leaders, and local businesses, to support the startup ecosystem.
About the Anlag Ta BukSU TBI
The Anlag Ta Buksu TBI is one of the few university-based technology business incubators in Mindanao, providing critical infrastructure, resources, and business support to new ventures. It is designed to help startups grow and thrive in the competitive business environment by offering:

The TBI primarily focuses on technology-based entrepreneurship, with an emphasis on sectors that are critical to the region’s development. These focus areas include:
- Agriculture Technology (Agri-Tech): Supporting startups that are developing solutions to improve the productivity and sustainability of the agricultural sector, which is a key economic driver in Bukidnon.
- Eco-tourism and Environmental Technologies: Promoting innovations that contribute to sustainable tourism and environmental conservation, leveraging Bukidnon’s natural resources.
- Information and Communication Technology (ICT): Encouraging startups working in software development, mobile applications, and multimedia solutions to address local and global needs.
- Food and Beverage Technologies: Supporting innovations in food processing and packaging that improve food safety and expand market opportunities for local products.
